Dani Vázquez

Introduction
My name is Dani Vázquez, graduated in Fine Arts and specialized in Good Design and art direction. More than 10 years working for different clients along with collaborations with companies, design studios and advertising agencies.
I am an art director and graphic designer stablished in A Coruña, Spain. I specialize on branding experiences that last, clean and simple digital interfaces and print pieces made with order and sense. My goal is to create a positive impact in the world by designing solid and simple solutions.
How do you describe your work?
My work is based on understanding people and situations with curiosity and empathy in order to deliver honest and effective solutions.
A designer o studio you admire?
Definitely Vignelli Associates always has been de studio that influenced my work the most. I remember how little I was before I knew about Lella and Massimo, and I know now who I am and who I want to be as a designer thanks to them.
You will find an unique voice in Lella and Massimo’s work, talks and writings. It is a lovely kind and warm voice. They will show you an approachable and useful way to understand design, with care and passion. An ‘easy to relate’ way to be a good designer.
Nowadays I’m connecting a lot with Kenya Hara’s work and how his view of design could help us save humanity and the world.
Could you tell us about any of your projects?
I’ll tell about Zipcart app redesign. It’s a case study, not a commissioned one. Zipcart is a German app created to search and purchase fashion items near you. Associated with Zalando they offer quick and easy deliveries from stores around a particular location.
They’ve improved a lot since I’ve decided to use Zipcart as a case study. I just wanted to add some new ideas to it: a new style by slightly mixing up multiplatform solutions, a new funtionality for banners that offer a window to clothing selections based on topics, encouraging exploration and excitement, or a more inmmersive and comfortable experience when exploring products details.
